All floor models are for sale, however most customers choose to order. It doesn’t cost any extra to order and allows you to create the piece you want choosing your wood, stain color, and hardware.
How do I order?
We try to make it easy! Start with browsing our website or visiting our store. Once you have a style that you like you can choose your wood species, stain color and hardware and any other custom features you would like.
Do you ship?
Yes! White glove delivery is available in all of the lower 48 states. Call us to arrange delivery to Hawaii, Alaska or international destinations.
Is your outdoor furniture built from wood as well?
No, our outdoor furniture is made of poly materials and 100% recyclable. Poly furniture works well for outdoor applications since it does not rot or degrade in the outdoor elements.
What finish is on the furniture, and how durable is it?
We use a combination of a high-quality sprayed polyurethane finish or a sprayed conversion varnish finish. Both are hard, durable finishes; polyurethane is standard on all dining furniture because it is a superior finish for the constant wear that tables and chairs receive. Polyurethane can be requested as an upgrade for all furniture (bedroom, living room, etc.) that would normally get a conversion varnish.
Amish Furniture FAQs
What is meant by "Amish Furniture"?
Amish Furniture is solid wood furniture built by Amish craftsmen using locally sourced North America hardwoods. Oak, Cherry, Maple, Walnut and Hickory are the most commonly used wood species.
Isn’t most of the Amish furniture just light colored oak?
Light colored oak is certainly available but the Amish craftsmen have expanded well beyond that giving you a wide range of colors, styles and designs ranging from the traditional mission style to very contemporary.
What is rustic wood in Amish furniture?
Rustic refers to knots and other imperfections. Most wood species are available as rustic or clear (no knots). Rustic is generally more inexpensive since a wider grade of wood is used. Rustic pieces can have the knots left open or filled with an epoxy. Knots left open are not greater than 1” in diameter and do not go all the way through the board.
Is Amish furniture scratch proof?
No, but with proper care it can remain beautiful for a long time. Any finish can be scratched, but we use the best finishes available to protect against moisture like spills and also scratching. Ask us about the different types of finishes available for your furniture.
What species of wood are used in Amish furniture?
Our Amish furniture is built mostly from North American hardwoods sourced within 100 miles of our Amish builders’ workshops. The most common species we work with would be Oak, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, ¼ Sawn White Oak, and Walnut.
Where are your Amish craftsmen located?
Most of our Amish Craftsmen are located in Northern Indiana, with a few from Ohio and Pennsylvania.
What is the recommended cleaning and maintenance for hardwood furniture?
Dust with a soft rag following the direction of the wood grain. Grease or food can be cleaned with soapy water; everything else gets dusted with a damp rag. We do not recommend furniture polish for new Amish furniture.
Can minor scratches and dings be repaired?
Yes, minor scratches and dings can usually be touched up.
Are Amish hardwood chairs comfortable if they do not have padding?
Yes, we have many comfortable wooden chair designs. All hardwood seating can also be ordered with a leather or fabric seat for additional comfort.
Poly Furniture FAQs
Poly Outdoor Furniture- The warm look and feel of wood without the drawbacks!
What is Poly/HDPE furniture?
Do you offer material samples?
Will my poly furniture fade?
Will my furniture rot?
Will my furniture crack?
Will my furniture rust?
The HDPE portion of your furniture will not rust. All fasteners, braces, and swivel mechanisms are, however, made of stainless steel and aluminum. Although these materials do not rust under normal circumstances, coastal salt air, chlorinated pool water, or ice melt products can cause minor surface rust of even stainless steel and aluminum.
To protect these materials, we do not advise using ice melt on your furniture in the winter time and also recommend an occasional rinse with fresh water if the furniture is exposed to either pool water or coastal salt air. This will prevent buildup up of minerals and will prolong the life of the metal components.
