Questions On Our Amish Furniture? Get your answers here!
What is Amish furniture?
- Amish Furniture is solid wood furniture built by Amish craftsmen using locally sourced North America hardwoods. Oak, Cherry, Maple, Walnut and Hickory are the most commonly used wood species.
Isn’t most of the Amish furniture just light colored oak?
- Light colored oak is certainly available but the Amish craftsmen have expanded well beyond that giving you a wide range of colors, styles and designs ranging from the traditional mission style to very contemporary.
Is there a warranty on your furniture?
- We offer a lifetime warranty on all wood furniture. This covers all breaking, splitting, joints loosening etc.
Do you ship furniture to Chaska, MN?
- Yes! White glove delivery is available in all of the lower 48 states. Call us to arrange delivery to Hawaii, Alaska or international destinations.
Can I buy a floor model or do I need order my furniture?
- All floor models are for sale, however most customers choose to order. It doesn’t cost any extra to order and allows you to create the piece you want choosing your wood, stain color, and hardware.
How do I order furniture for my location in Chaska?
- We try to make it easy! Start with browsing our website or visiting our store. Once you have a style that you like you can choose your wood species, stain color and hardware and any other custom features you would like.
What should I know before I visit the store?
- The most important thing would be to know the size of the room or space you would like to furnish. If you would like to match the color of your woodwork or a piece you have already, it is helpful to bring a wood sample along or have a good picture available.
What is rustic wood in Amish furniture?
- Rustic refers to knots and other imperfections. Most wood species are available as rustic or clear (no knots). Rustic is generally more inexpensive since a wider grade of wood is used. Rustic pieces can have the knots left open or filled with an epoxy. Knots left open are not greater than 1” in diameter and do not go all the way through the board.
Is Amish furniture scratch proof?
- No, but with proper care it can remain beautiful for a long time. Any finish can be scratched, but we use the best finishes available to protect against moisture like spills and also scratching. Ask us about the different types of finishes available for your furniture.
Is your outdoor furniture built from wood as well?
- Our outdoor furniture is Amish built, but is made from recycled plastics. Find the FAQ for our outdoor furniture here.

Chaska’s rich history dates back over a millennium, with evidence of early Native American settlements, including burial mounds in what is now City Square Park. The city’s name, “Chaska,” is derived from a Dakota word often given to the firstborn son. European-American settlement began in earnest in the mid-19th century, with the establishment of a trading post and the development of brick manufacturing, thanks to the area’s abundant clay resources. The Minnesota River played a vital role in the city’s growth, facilitating trade and transportation. In 1871, Chaska was officially incorporated. Over the decades, the city has transitioned from a small agricultural hub into a thriving suburban community while retaining its historical charm and small-town feel. Today, Chaska blends its rich past with modern development, making it a vibrant place to live and work.
