- Light colored oak is certainly available but the Amish craftsmen have expanded well beyond that giving you a wide range of colors, styles and designs ranging from the traditional mission style to very contemporary.
Is there a warranty on your furniture?
- We offer a lifetime warranty on all wood furniture. This covers all breaking, splitting, joints loosening etc.
Do you ship furniture to Hennepin County, MN?

Can I buy a floor model or do I need order my furniture?
- All floor models are for sale, however most customers choose to order. It doesn’t cost any extra to order and allows you to create the piece you want choosing your wood, stain color, and hardware.
How do I order furniture for my location in Hennepin County?
- We try to make it easy! Start with browsing our website or visiting our store. Once you have a style that you like you can choose your wood species, stain color and hardware and any other custom features you would like.
What should I know before I visit the store?
- The most important thing would be to know the size of the room or space you would like to furnish. If you would like to match the color of your woodwork or a piece you have already, it is helpful to bring a wood sample along or have a good picture available.
What is rustic wood in Amish furniture?
- Rustic refers to knots and other imperfections. Most wood species are available as rustic or clear (no knots). Rustic is generally more inexpensive since a wider grade of wood is used. Rustic pieces can have the knots left open or filled with an epoxy. Knots left open are not greater than 1” in diameter and do not go all the way through the board.
Is Amish furniture scratch proof?
- No, but with proper care it can remain beautiful for a long time. Any finish can be scratched, but we use the best finishes available to protect against moisture like spills and also scratching. Ask us about the different types of finishes available for your furniture.
Is your outdoor furniture built from wood as well?
- Our outdoor furniture is Amish built, but is made from recycled plastics. Find the FAQ for our outdoor furniture here.

A Brief History of Hennepin County
Established on March 6, 1852, Hennepin County was named after Father Louis Hennepin, a 17th-century explorer who documented the region’s notable features, including St. Anthony Falls. Minneapolis, the county seat, quickly became a hub for milling and industry, leveraging the power of the Mississippi River. The late 19th and early 20th centuries saw rapid growth, with Minneapolis earning the nickname “Mill City” due to its prominence in flour production. Over time, the county evolved, embracing cultural diversity and technological advancements, solidifying its status as Minnesota’s most populous county. Today, Hennepin County is a vibrant blend of historical significance and modern innovation.
